There's more to South Korea than you think, there are also Korean dramas which are a big hit around the world. Many people like to watch them because they are said to be different than any other drama. Becoming a Korean drama addict is also very easy, once you watch one of them your whole life can change because you will want to watch them almost everyday and have marathons. Most of these korean dramas listed below are romantic comedies which are the most popular ones in korean televison.

Exo is one of the most popular boy groups that are out there in the kpop world. For some reason they seem to attract almost all of the kpop fans and that's why they have so much popularity. If you are a fan of them you can either be considered a part of the "Exotics" or "Exo planet." The official fandom name has not been made. The members from left to right are , starrting from the back row, Baekhyun, which is a main vocalist, Xiumin, which is a lead vocalist and a lead dancer, Tao which is a lead rapper and vocalist, Chanyeol which is a main rapper and vocalist, and Chen which is a main vocalist. This group consists of 10 members, formally there were 12 members but they had to leave due to some company troubles. As of now only 9 members remain because Tao has chosen to leave. You must be able to check up on recent releases and also know what is hot in korea. 4minute's "Crazy" has been on the charts for a very long time since they made a comeback. If you are a fan of them you are to be considered a "4nia." The members are Jiyoon, which is the lead vocalist and the main rapper, Sohyun which is a vocalist, rapper and lead dancer, Gayoon which is the main vocalist, Jihyun, which is the leader and the face of the group and HyunA which is the main rapper, vocalist, main dancer and the face of the group. Their hit single "Crazy" is a must watch.

Kpop Dances - Boy Group Edition

A Kpop boy group that is good at dancing would be "Boyfriend", they debuted in the year of 2011 and are slowly getting recognition after their recent songs "Witch" and "Bounce." From left to right the members are Minwoo, which is the main dancer and lead rapper, Hyunseong which is a vocalist, Jeongmin which is the lead vocalist, Youngmin which is the lead dancer and face of the group, Donghyun which is the leader, and Kwangmin, which is the lead dancer, main rapper and the face of the group. Their song "Bounce" has the most catchiest beat and the most catchiest dance moves.

Another step to getting into kpop is by watching all the different dances that most groups have. The kpop choreography is what defines a good Korean music video, it is the main reason that people watch them, they can be unique and you don't really see most singers have a distinctive dance to a specific song. Most kpop songs have a dance that is easy to follow with practice. Many people on YouTube make channels about covers. Here is a girl group that recently came out in 2014 and is named "Red Velvet" from left to right the members are, Irene, which is the main rapper, dancer and vocalist, Yeri, which is a rapper and vocalist, Seulgi which is the lead vocalist and lead dancer, Joy which is a lead rapper and vocalist, and Wendy which is the face of the group. They debuted in 2014 with their popular song "Happiness", but this year they nailed it with their new album and hit single "Ice Cream Cake." 

"Ice Cream Cake" is the song that basically helped Red Velvet become more known to kpop. They are now really popular and mostly everyone can practice to this song because it is just too catchy and very easy to follow. 

Male Solo

Just like there are female solo singers, there is also male solo singers. This is Xia Junsu he is a former member of kpop group "TVXQ" but had to leave because of some problems at the company. He became a soloist in the year 2012 and recently came back in 2015. His vocals are really strong which is why he is considered to be one of the best male singers of kpop. His recent song named "Flower," from his new album is definitely a song that beginners of kpop should try to watch. 

Female Solo

If your thinking "wow why are there so many members" then maybe you should try Ailee, she is a solo singer and is known to have a killer voice with her powerful vocals. Her fandom name is "Aileeans." She has been around since 2012. Ailee is originally American, being born in Denver, Colorado. She has korean parents which is why she can speak korean. She is signed to YMC Entertainment. A good song to start with would be her newest single which was released in 2014 and is called "Don't touch me."

Boy Groups

If you're looking for male singers, then the best group to start with would be BTS, which are also known as "Bangtang Boys" The fandom name is A.R.M.Y. Starting from the top middle , clockwise the members are, Jungkook, which is a vocalist and a rapper, Suga, which is a rapper, J-Hope which is a rapper and a dancer, V which is a vocalist, Jimin, which is a vocalist and rapper, Jin, which is the face of the group and Rap Monster which is the main rapper and the leader. This group has made so much progress since their debut back in 2013. Right now they have been preparing for their "Bulletproof tour" that will take place this Summer 2015. A good song to start with would be their newest hit song " I Need U."

"I Need U" has become a favorite in korea because of how they tried a new style, they don't usually sing about love and romance which is why this song took everyone by surprise. The group has taken home 5 wins on recent music shows which is their first 5 wins since debut. 

Girl Groups

The first thing to do when becoming a kpop fan is to watch official music videos about any group that comes up on your computer when you search for the word "kpop". If that's not something you would like to do then a kpop group that is good to start with is 2NE1, which can be pronounced "to anyone" or " Twenty-one." Their fandom name is called "Blackjacks."  from left to right the group members are Park Bom, which is the main vocalist, Sandara Park, which is the face of the group, Minzy, which is the main dancer and CL which is the main rapper and lead vocalist.  A good song to start with would be "Come back home". 

"Come back home" was released in 2014 when the group made a huge comeback with their new album "Crush" following this comeback was their world tour that was named " All or Nothing" This tour was one of the biggest in kpop history because many people attended and many people were very excited about their success.

Kpop is considered to be a genre of music to certain people but in reality, all it is is pop music in a different language, and that is Korean. To be a Kpop fan you must know how to keep up to date with the latest hit singles and you must devote yourself to the entire genre itself. You must choose a certain bias of any group and become a part of their kpop fandom, for example if you are a 2NE1 fan then you have become a blackjack.  Your bias can also be a soloist such as Ailee. However once you choose to love kpop then you can't go back, it will stick to your soul if it has to,
